Richard " Dick" Riley, 82, passed away suddenly but peacefully in Somers Point, New Jersey on March 16th, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania, the 9th of 11 children, he lived primarily in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. After graduating from Monsignor Bonner HighSchool in 1958, he attended St.Charles Seminary attaining Deacon status in 1964. He transitioned to a different life calling. As Vice President of Riley Sales Inc from 1970 until his life changing illness in 2019, he was a consummate professional committed to excellence in customer service in the HVAC industry. Many remember Dick fondly through 50 years of relentless dedication to the business. However, his greatest gift was the love of family.
He is cherished as a husband, father and grandfather. Known for his quick wit and inquisitive nature, he leaves behind a legacy of faith, education and the importance of caring for those living with special needs and challenges. He will be truly missed. Survivors include his dutiful wife of over 54 years Barbara Riley, 4 daughters & sons- in law; Lynda & Tony Arnold, Susan & Matthew Fry, John Frey, Heather & Jorge Carlos Rivasplata, Laura & Patrick Thiele, 1 brother Francis X Riley, 15 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren; David Arnold, Ashley Arnold, Michael Arnold, Destiny Arnold, Airiis Arnold, Joseph Arnold, Leloni Arnold, Nikolas Frey, Brendan Fry, Aidan Fry, Caitlin Fry, Kiara Rivasplata, Ryan Thiele, Connor Thiele, Sean Thiele, Bentley Arnold, and Khalaya Arnold. Richard Riley was preceded in death by his daughter Michele Riley Frey, his 9 siblings and his parents.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 25th, 2023 with a Visitation to be held at 9:30 AM untill Mass at 11:00 AM at, Epiphany of Our Lord Church 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting PA 19462
