Reverend Harry G. Hill Sr.

Age 86, passed away of complications from a six year battle with kidney disease at Autumn Lakes healthcare on May 14, 2023.

Reverend Hill was a 1955 graduate of Gloucester City High School, Glassboro State College (Now Rowan U) in 1972 with a BA in psychology, and Princeton Theological Seminary in 1975 with a masters of Divinity degree. Rev Hill began his career working for the Continental Baking Company until his calling at age 30 into the ministry. He pastored the following NJ Methodist churches. Cross Keys, Hampton, Salem, Gibbstown, Marmora, and New Gretna in his 55 years of pastoral service retiring twice, but finally, at age 77.

He is the Son of Herbert C Hill, and Agnes Mae Hill. He was the youngest of 9 children, all predeceased. He is the husband of Genevieve Marie (Nee Fair) Hill, and Father to Jean Voorhis, Harry Jr, and Cynthia Myers. PopPop to fifteen grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Rev Hill enjoyed sports, excelling at football. He played both ways as a fullback and linebacker in high school and semi-pro football. Rev Hill most loved spending time with his beloved wife of 55 years and his family. He faithfully served his Savior as a pastor with joy and enthusiasm. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rev Hills memorial service at Trinity UMC, 20 North Shore Road, Marmora, NJ 08223. Visitation will begin at 10am and service to follow at 11am. 

Pastors Jonghwa Kim and John Koch will officiate.

Internment of cremated remains will follow at Seaside Cemetery on Route 9 in Marmora.
